A man has to know his limitations.
« on: May 16, 2013, 06:41:22 PM »

-Just finished changing my brake fluid- for the last time.  What a nightmare.  I'm going to let the shop do this crap from now on.
-Good thing I had a water spray bottle and a hose ready.  The worst part was when Dot 4 started squirting and leaking from my Mityvac.
Also, I'm not sure how much of the bearing grease actually got into th steering head.  Hopefully at least as much as ran out of the right angle zerk fitting.  -Not really sure.
Oh well, I' pretty good at washing and polishing.
I wonder if the Dot 4 will eat holes in my new Harley jeans?
Thank God I bought a bottle of Scotch last night.  Double Time.   :drink:

Jeez! Sounds as if you had a really bad day!

What kind of scotch? I'd hit it!

I'm not a single malt snob, I love 12 yr old Chivas Regal and club soda.
Drinkin' time is here!  :cucumber:
I'm  a versatile enjoyer of these types of beverages.  I enjoy shots of Jack and beer.  I love premium tequila, and I am a wine club member.
Other than that, I don't touch the stuff.

LOL! My kind of guy... another "teetotaler"!

When I splurge, I buy The Balvenie DoubleWood 12-year-old Highland single malt. That stuff is TASTY! I have tried all of their more expensive single malts, but I don't enjoy them any more than I enjoy the DoubleWood.

I drink more Jack Daniels on the rocks than anything these daze... except microbrew beers. I'm sitting out by the pool enjoying some Sam Adams White Christmas Limited Release from last winter right now, waiting for my wife to get home. I like to let my beers sleep for awhile...

This year during swim season, I might even get back into my signature Jäger Bombs... I have several unconsumed bottles of Jaegermeister, and they erase any unpleasant memories of anything quite nicely!

Enjoy!

I ever got into the Jaegermeister- probably never gave it a fair chance-but I like how you're thinking.  ::)

Enjoy!

Ken, sorry my return message was included in your quote.  I tried to just do a reply but it didn't work.

:jack: Well, the subject matter just changed from a mess changing the brake fluid to good scotch...I like the way this thread has developed!  Y'all have to try 12 yr old Aberlour.  I do not tolerate scotch but a Scotsman got me to try the Aberlour and have to say, it's not bad stuff....just my two cents...

Now back to your regular scheduled post already in progress..... ;D

One thing that surprised me was that the brake fluid was very clean and clear.  I' not really sure this has to be changed
Every two years.
The clutch fluid was another story. Extremely dirty.  A lot of dark film in the reservoir.  Of course I wiped it out good with a new micro fiber cloth.
- Just glad it's done!
