New Shocks
« on: May 14, 2013, 06:36:40 PM »

Just finished putting 13" Supension Technologies shocks on my RG. I purchased them from Jim @ Metal Dragon. Jim recommended 13" stocks the original shocks were 12". I only had time for a quick ride and they feel great. I noticed a difference turning, hard to explain. Kinda seems easier to turn and more responsive. Has anyone noticed a change in steering after this kinda mod?

Yes I think those shocks are a major improvement over stock. I did the front end at the same time so not sure how much improvement in handling was due to front end change vs. rear change.

Raising the rear, even only an inch, changes the effective rake angle and trail of the front end.  So yes, a discerning individual could very well feel a difference in turn-in.
