Cruising at begining of cam power curve
« on: June 08, 2013, 11:06:28 PM »

Hi,
I been out riding/cruising keeping RPM between 2800 and 3200 rpm. Bike really sounds good at that RPM
Range. It seems to respond very well and turns on about 3500 rpm. I really like it a lot. My friends tell me that I should cruise at a lower rpm. I have a S&S V111 motor and a OD 6 speed. 65 in 5th gear 3000 rpm @ 70 is fun! Just at beginning of power curve. I usually don't get into 6th gear unless doing 75 MPH or better.
Should I listen or ignore them. I put over 35,000 miles on the motor and transmission. Over 50,000 on Bike

Its Awesome!
