CVO Front run/turn bulb
« on: May 25, 2013, 07:05:05 PM »

Does anyone know of a replacement bulb for the front turn/run bulb other than the HD one for a 2012 CVO RG.

          Thanks in advance Jonnierock

CUSE uses an 1157A - A for amber - in the front bullet style lights, I would think yours would be the same.

It's a standard 1157 bulb alright.  A for amber.  Get it at any auto parts store.  Do yourself a favor if staying with that type bulb though and look for an 1157NA.  That's natural amber.  Actual amber glass rather than an amber coating on clear glass.  They'll look a lot better and generally will last longer as the coating holds in heat.

:2vrolijk_21:   Unfortunately it's not that easy to find natural amber (NA) bulbs any more, but it's worth the effort.  Most of the cheap bulbs you find in auto parts stores or at your friendly dealer are just coated (you can easily tell when the color extends onto the metal base), and many of those kinds of bulbs not only have shorter filament lives but the coating can actually peel.

Change to LED's, Try Custom Dynamics. They are much brighter and last a lifetime.
