Ok Riding home last night about 9 pm turned lights to dim and both head lights went out no hi or low all other lights ok 2009 SERG

Check the Headlamp fuse. 15A fuse just for headlights.

Yep fuse, now pull that dang fairing off and find the short in low beam

Mine had the plug that plugs into bulb melted. Dealer sold me a ceramic to replace it with. Been two years and no problems since and I recently had fairing off installing the LED asm and the ceramic plugs look good.

Doesn't necessarily have to be a short in the wiring. If one of the bulbs blew a piece of the element could have caused the short.
