hydraulic clutch
« on: May 27, 2013, 07:45:57 PM »

My FLHTCUSE2 INP bearing went out. I replaced the bearing/race and seal. When I torqued the engine comp blot and the clutch bolt I screwed up and torqued the clutch hub bolt to 155 ft.lbs. instead of 80 ft.lbs. now the hydraulic clutch
Doesn't work. I've bled the fluid with new about three times. Still no clutch. The clutch worked excellent before. Bike has 43,000 on it. Any thoughts?
Thanks Kent

Your clutch not working has nothing to do with over torquing the clutch hub fastener.

What does not work mean?  No resistance at the clutch lever?  Clutch won't disengage or ???

There's not a lot that can be wrong.  Are you sure all the clutch plates and spacers made it back in?  It's either a mechanical assembly error, or it's a hydraulic problem with the clutch release.  Are you bleeding the master cylinder (at the master cylinder) and the slave cylinder at the bleeder screw on the side cover?   What are the symptoms?

Pulled the hole clutch pack as a unit,  no resistance at the
Lever. Bled it at the salve
