 Sorry this happened to you.  I stay at Hampton Inns when traveling in the hope that moving up the scale a bit will help protect the bike.  I remember one clerk telling me where to park so the surveillance camera covered the bike.  Hopefully, more of the individual motels will adopt good security systems.

Sorry to hear about your loss.  There's two types of peeps I can't stand.  (Thieves and liars) 

I've installed the Arrowtrack GPS System on all my bikes and trucks which notifies me by sending me a texted message if my vehicle is moved besides it has a lot more features too.  I always carry a ACP .45 with me and would love to have caught them in the act.

Very sorry to hear, but part of what you said triggered my memory and I went to verify.   

The officer that was ambushed earlier that night is the one that the pictures are going around the internet of his Police Dog pawing at his casket during his funeral.

Maybe someone could re-visit some of these known locations where the thieves are working ?

Would be a damn shame if there just happened to be a Rattler or two taking a nap in the saddle bags,,,,,,,,,,,

Don't know about the pic of the dog.  By the time of the funeral I was on Tybee Island, Georgia.  I do know that he was a K-9 handler.  Dog was not with him at the time of the shooting.  Why?  I do not know.   Bad enough to shoot a police officer but to block the road and ambush him was a cold heartless chickenchit action.
