Mustang seat upgrade on Exchange Weekend
« on: March 19, 2013, 03:39:05 PM »

CVO folks,

I was up in Daytona for bike week. I have a GoPro Hero 2 camera. Right after riding the Loop, my camera failed with an error message. I took it to Daytona Speedway and went to the GoPro booth. They never saw the error. Well, luck has it they are a great company! They exchanged my broken camera (firmware or software error only) for a new camera and threw in a few batteries too! Awesome! Since I was in a good mood, I decided to splurge on something my ass has wanted. I got myself a mustang seat for my ride. Attached is a picture of the bike loaded up with the seat. Much nicer than the stock seat. I gave away my gel pad.

Great seat. I didn't have to stop and rest on my 250 mile return trip to Miami (except for gas). Highly recommend that brand. I got it for cost which came out to 370 and change.

Since it was becoming 'exchange weekend' - my H-D goggles broke. They were at least two years old. I brought them to Destination Daytona and the dealer gave my a 60 dollar store credit. I got a new pair of glasses and even splurged for a pair of H-D jeans! What a great time!

 :beatdeadhorse:     Hey Carl,

you look like one of those cross country BMW dudes with all that travel stuff.
And please don't fall asleep with that "Comfy Seat" and that huge back rest !

By the way, how'ed you get booked up there, with that 5 inch 2-into-1 pipe
they don't allow at that place ?

And you look like you got your monkeys worth out of that "Escort", your last
night there, Dude !  Was that a type-o ?

Yes, I am jealous, one of these days before I die, or they take my bike away
for being to old.  The wife says, "What bike ?"  Been a long winter here, and I
really haven't seen it for awhile !

from central PA,
Jack

Jack,

the escort was a wee bit camera shy! Just back from Oz and Hong Kong. Managed to rent a Harley Fatboy with 2 into 2 V&H loud bangers in the Gold Coast. Rode through the Hinterlands. It was a great ride! No 'saddlebags' on that ride! Pics to be posted soon.
