Kudos to them! I support American businesses even if it cost a few bucks more, hopefully enough others feel the same way and will support mine. It's disappointing to me to see all the people shopping at the Wally Worlds for the same tangible goods over and over again because the cheap Chinese crap has no life to it. Our landfills are full of that junk and there are a few generations of people that will never know what "heirloom quality" means.

That's AWESOME!

I'd gladly pay more for good, American-made stuff in preference to cheap Chinese crap. I wish the MoCo would go back to their roots as an American brand and stop using Chinese junk chrome on the bikes, too.

The article said 2% cost increase but higher quality.  Read a similar article several years ago.  The contractor said that it actually cost less due to lower waste, especially on the nails for the nail guns.  Cheep nails had many more jams, wasting both time and material.   I seem to recall that they couldn't get the "J" bolts to tie the plates to the foundation US made.  Some company stepped forward to manufacture them and cost was actually less.
