2013 CVO Road King bag corners
« on: June 27, 2013, 08:57:52 PM »

Has anybody seen a corner protector for the bottom outboard corners for the hard bags that looks decent?  One of my kids got something too close and put a nice gouge on the corner of the right bag.  Can't get rid of the kid so I am looking for a decent way to hide the gouge.  Can't locate touch-up paint in crushed sapphire either.  Any help is appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your bag,  I am building a new garage for more room just for this reason.  Got to many toys and with my son turning 16 in a week now and him liking to tinker in the garage as well.  He knows the bike and 39 ford and camaro are all are do not touch and stay away.  He can ride the dirt bikes and four wheelers and tear them all up he wants.  Don't touch these.  Still figured I would find he would have taken one out for a road test when I wasn't home but he has been pretty good kid.  Still trip over bicycle parts on the shop side.  But one thing to remember you can always point it out to him when you want your bike washed.   Life time free bike Washings!!

I know this don't make you feel any better.  But if you check with your dealer he should be able to get you touch up paint but I bet it costs a pretty penny.  You might take a picture as well and post it.  Some one may also have some ideas.  The gouges can be repaired and a good painter can blend the paint in the spot with out having to paint the entire bag.  But I am sure they would need to see it.

Not sure what you do for a living but also trading work with a good body/painter works sometimes as well.  Saves a bunch of money for both parties involved.   That's just a idea as well.

I've only seen flat pieces for the bottom edge, nothing that wraps from the bottom out to the face.

On my 01 I bent some stainless that covered the bottom and about 1/2" of the face. I didn't spend the time to wrap the corners (where I really needed it).

Something like this made for our bags would be nice....
