2013 rods.

Don't know if this has been covered, but these no longer have wrist pin bushings in them.
Steel on steel.
Don't imagine the Moco would open that door without testing.
FWIW.

That was discussed when it first showed up in that years master tech bulletin.  That Mother Harley would shortcut a significant engine component (compensator, lifters, crankshafts, guides, 2007 everything in the 110s) actually wouldn't be a surprise Scotty.  Even though the lack of a replaceable wrist pin has the owner one previously serviceable failure away from a complete engine tear down or replacement so far I don't remember reading one instance of a failure actually occurring here.

The bushingless rods and cam plates were a running change for the 2011 model year.

If properly fit that may be a more durable solution. Those bushings have been known to spin. The aftermarket pitches the dick head rods anyway in favor of H-beams for high output motors.

I'm 100% certain the changes had nothing to do with improving anything other than the bottom line.  Get used to it, because it has been obvious for years now that Harley isn't concerned about long term reliability, just short term profits.

btw, the parent metal "bearing" surface in the cam plate is the one I would be more concerned with.  Nothing like running a wobbling steel shaft on an aluminum surface, if you know what I mean.  It's a good thing the plates are relatively easy to throw away and replace.

Realize that all those hi-revving Jap bikes run bushingless wrist pins with NO problems. Heavy piston weights as well.  :o
