Adjustable Passenger Pegs from Kuryakyn
« on: June 24, 2013, 05:30:58 PM »

Is there a way to mount these with the existing OEM passenger floorboards?

You should be able to mount these to the existing bracket that holds the passenger floor boards.

They will mount to your stock floorboard brackets. Make sure you get the correct part number, they offer 09 and up as well 08 and down versions.

Thanks guys. I should have clarified that I have a set from an older bike but they have the square mount. They fit this type:

I was thinking of getting those brackets pictured above, but they appear to be about 2.5" lower than where I have my OEM passenger floorboards adjusted for my wife. She doesn't seem to think she will like the new location that low and i didn't want to buy a set just to try out. I have a friend who has them on a stock 2012 model and we measured.

The old single hole mounts will mount in 2 different positions about an 1 1/2" difference in height and the Kury pegs will work in both positions

I have a set of these I just found in my parts stash.

I can't remember which bike they came off of.

I want to try and mount them with my CVO floorboards to try out before buying the chrome ones. Anyone know how to get the Passenger floorboards off of the existing OEM adjustable brackets? I would assume just peel the floorboard up and off but do not want to break them if this isn't correct.

I have an old set of the aforementioned Kuryakyn adjustable riser pegs as well. Notice the mounting area is square which will not work on the round OEM bracket.

Rob,
I have a set that I just removed for a trip that I would be happy to loan you to try them out.  Just send me a PM and we can set up a meet.

Really enjoyed our conversation.  Hope your wife likes the pegs.  Please enjoy and use them as long as you need.

that is correct, pull the floor board rubber up and remove the pins that hold the board to the mount. i bought chrome mounts and it worked just fine. i lost the adjustability of the passenger pegs but my BSR liked them mid way and that was exactly where the non-CVO mounts placed the boards,
