Hello Peeps

I have a 2013 Road Glide CVO and want to find a good and comfortable seat. I'm about 6.0 foot and around 325 lbs.

My Dealer is insisting the Signature Series seat part number 51700-09. Does anyone have this seat and your opinion?

Maybe you can suggest a particular Mustang seat, hopefully your about the same size as me, 5% of the population but worth a shot. (LOL) Pics would help I am very concerned about appearance too.

Thank you very much in advance.

I would suggest a MUSTANG over a MoCo any day of the week!  With your "size" ....I'm 6'2" 240.....I wouldn't go with something "stylish" either!  I have a "Wide Touring" with a back rest on order.  Call "Ami" at Mustang.  I also ordered the backrest and pillion and all of it with "white" contrast stitching and a diamond patter (Similar to their "tripper" line).  They will do this pattern for a 10% upcharge on the cost of the seat.  I do not have it yet...but I've ridden this seat on my 92' soft tail for 8 years...and it's the best money and seat I've ever spent on a bike.  I have had a Corbin....pretty...but too hard IMO....and "Ultimate" from Canada on my Goldwing....great ERGONOMICS...but not comfortable...too soft (At the time in 2005 Mustang didn't make a Goldwing Saddle....and I shamed them for it!)

When I bought my first Mustang I based it on this.....almost NO ONE complains about the COMFORT of a Mustang ever.  If you're only concerned about looks there are lots of great custom seat companies that make "prettier" seats FOR SURE!  My stock CVO SERG seat looks great...it's just painful to ride on!

I will be happy to post pics and update you once I get the seat...should be here any day now.  They said 2 weeks....I ordered it before the 4th...so with the Holiday I'm giving them benefit of the doubt it will take a few extra business days.

Hope that helps!

Sidecar Dan id giving good advice. I have a Mustang Wide Touring and it is great. Corbin makes a good seat, but they are to hard for my liking.

I'm 5'11" and 320#. I had a Mustang Wide Touring on my last bike and will be putting one on my new ride soon. It's a great seat.  :2vrolijk_21:

Got a classic mustang solo seat with backrest. Replaced the RGC anniversary seat. Boxed it up in the mustang box. Put the p pad on and never looked back. Second mustang and never considered another brand or style. Don't fix what ain't broke. My ass and back ached with the stock seat.

My Mustang "Vintage Super Solo" arrived today.  Worked with "AMI" from 800# at Mustang to do the custom stitching.  The diamond pattern and the contrast stitching (white thread) was 10% x 2 up charge.  I think it was worth it!  :bananarock:  I'll ride it in the AM.  I've got the same seat on my 92' Softail, so it's just breaking it in!

Here was the result.  I'll post a couple of Pics.
