Dakota Digital Gauges question
« on: July 29, 2013, 01:27:22 PM »

On my last bike (2008 EG) I switched the gauges to the Dakota Digital 6 gauge set and really like them.  I have considered doing the same on my '10 SESG but am a little hesitant.  While the DD gauges work very well, the CVO gauges on this bike "look" better than the stock ones I replaced on the 2008.  However, the ones on the SESG are difficult to read and don't seem as accurate.  I did a search and saw a few references from 2009 and 2010 to the gauges but wanted to see if anyone has replaced their gauges on a CVO and if so how do you like them.

My last bike was Pacific Blue Pearl and the Blue gauges looked great.  Guess I would need to use the Red gauges on this bike an not sure how it would look with the Spiced Rum color.  Thoughts?

I have a 10 ultra cvo. riptide blue and titanium. I have the blue gauges and love them. I also changed radio to blue backlight. Wouldn't go back. I have been told reds are not as easy to see but it has to be way better than the oem on the cvos. I did see a blue set on a red custom and thought the red would have looked better. There are a couple of other options and you can pick your color. Think Kury makes one with a sharp looking gauge face.

Thanks.  Nice looking mods!  I had the blue gauges on my EG and really liked them.  Easy to read etc.  However, I was replacing the old black faced gauges so I dint think much about doing it.  The SESG gauges look better but don't seem very accurate so I am undecided.  Plus not sure how red would look with the spiced rum.  The blue on blue you did looks great.

I don't like the digital look, Dakota didn't have analog when I put these on,

I really liked them and my heart sank a little, then I paged down.........................................

and jumped for joy. Paid $605 from Eastern!! Don't think I like them $894 better.

I like those!  After using them for a while, are you still satisfied with them?  I like these...

Overall I really like them. Like I stated on the other thread, the info on the Tach is hard to read in daylight. I wear glasses and don't see like a young man. The red ones really PoP, but my scoot is blue. Don't pay the $699!!! I called them and they came to the $605 fairly easily. I still like the Dakota Analog better, but not $894 better. Installation is easy once you get the wiring in the fairing outa the way. Good Luck.
