Slow down a minute
The SE 2000 was just a big bore only. Stock cams. That's it IIRC.

I believe that the 203’s were original equipment in all Factory built 95” Screamers, but they were not EPA certified for street use in the over the counter Stage-2 Big Bore kits until somewhere around 2004.

A few differences.  Same 4" stroke as the 88" but larger bore at 3.875".  That actually comes to 94.343 but they round it up to 95" for good advertising ::) .

It's the same Marelli ignition system that was on all the 88" bikes.  Heads are different and cams are different with the 95" motor using Harley's SE253 SE203 cam set.

above corrected to fix a typo -- thanks Harry

Hello Everyone, Im new to the forum as I recently purchased a used 2000 Orange/Black FLTRSEI and have the same questions regarding what changes were from the factory regarding the ECM, Pistons, Heads, Cams.

If Im reading everything in the thread correctly, then the following are the differences of 2000 FLTRSEI and same year 88" Touring.
Cam=SE203
Pistons=3.875"
ECM=Stage I

So I guess that leaves the following as questions I have.

Pistons: Are they flat top or High compression
Heads: Stock or SE

You all have a wealth of knowledge on these bikes and I hope to ramp up quickly to better understand mine.  Im looking into the Power Commander III USB as the previous owner installed a high flow air cleaner (forcewinder) and I get the typical 'cough' out the intake at low RPM leaving a light etc.

Thank you all in advance for your help in educating me.  :)

Those pistons would be a flat top.
The 203 cams can't withstand much compression.

I had a 2000 RKC and did the 95" kit and had the choice between 203 and 211 cams. I went with the 203's and added the SE heads that made it 10-1 comp. And it pulled my tent trailer real nice the 211's were powered more to the right.

Not Stage II to begin with.  And there's no way to know what mapping someone might have done over the years without "looking" in the ECU.  There was an old Race Tuner version for the Marelli bikes so it's possible something was done.  But without the Race Tuner interface module (dongle) and software that would have come with that package the only way to know is to have a dealer hook it up to equipment at the dealership.

The MM CVO bikes were a stage II map.  The original part number was 270cg276 and then it became 270cg278.  That exact map became the map sold as the Screamin' Eagle Stage II.  Map is for 1550, 203 cams, flat top cast pistons, stock heads.
