Pirelli Night Dragon

Trying to find some tires for my 2010 FLHXSE. Has anyone tried the Pirelli Night Dragon's? Should I just stick with the stock Dunlop's?    :nixweiss:

According to the Pirelli website they still don't offer a rear tire that meets the specs for your bike.  They have a radial in 180/55ZR18, but the load range is much lower that the tires on your bike now.

In addition to the lower load rating, I understand the compound is fairly soft resulting in a higher than typical (Dunlop) wear rate.

try the michelin.  tried it after running dunlops since mid 70's. good feeling tire. friend put one on rear & now putting one on front when he arrives from Ok net week. too many issues with metzler, avon & pirelli. know an indy who had customer request pirelli & got less than 6k out of tire in 2 months. too soft compound

Unless they added it very recently, Michelin doesn't offer a tire to fit his CVO Street Glide.  180/55B18  80H

I am currently running the Pirrelli but am not satisfied with its longevity.

How about the Metzler 888?

Those don't come in the proper size for his bike either.  However, if you're asking for your own bike, and it's a 2005 SEEG, then they do have sizes to fit your bike.

Follow this link for the Metzler page for the ME888, scroll down to the list of sizes.

Twisted Grip,

What series of Pirelli tire have you been using? Getting ready for tires on my 08 S.E.E.G. that has Dunlop`s and really do not want to go back with them again.

I looked for a new rear tire just today (2nd tire at 13000 miles) and couldn't find anything that would work other then the stock Dunlop. Really dont have a problem with that, was just looking for options. The Commander 2 keeps talking about additional sizes coming soon but not today. Ordered a Dunlop.

Michelin makes a Commander 2s for us and I've read nothing but great stuff on the brand. I've run the ME880   and love the way they handle but the longevity ain't the best. JMOH   :bananarock:
