Are you happy with the bike how it is today?
Do you want something mounted to you handle bars to look at for gauges?

If your happy skip it, If you want and extra device for looking at gauges go get it.

How much do you plan on manually tweaking everything yourself? I have the SERT and I just got a basic map to make her run cooler. Some of the guys that constantly self tune and have dyno access say the PV2 is more convenient but I am only doing pipes for now, I will get her dyno'd then probably leave her alone for a few years. I like that the SERT is only lugged in when I need the map flashed.

I would say the PV if you haven't bought anything beforehand because it is an amazing tuner but since you have already got a tuner then its up to you.  Fuel moto does have a $150 trade in for the PV with any tuning device. And the PV is way more than just a screen to view some gauges, it makes the sepst look like a commodore 64 lol.

Ps. The PV does not have to stay plugged in.
