4"Rhinehart baffle removed
« on: August 03, 2013, 06:26:41 PM »

2013 CVO road glide, 4" Rhinehart slip-ons, removed baffle completely......deep and louder. Cats back is only about sound, correct? Cats should be providing the proper back pressure needed. Don't appear to notice any loss of torque, APPEAR  being the key word. Correct me if I'm wrong

Butt Dyno needs calibration?
Without seeing what the AFR is its just a WAG.
These bikes come exceptionally lean (hot) and anything that cause more airflow through the system will exacerbate the condition.

Agreed..I like louder as well.......but it does run very lean from the factory and could benefit from some tuning....and it could really benefit from removing the cats. You will feel it run cooler also.

IMO these bikes like a bit of restriction to work well at lower rpms so either remove the cat and reinstall the baffles or at least put some lower restriction baffles in the muffs...or be happy knowing there's always a bit more low end torque with the baffles installed.

The only way to correct the problem is to Dyno the bike.  You can run anything you want to as far as pipes are concerned.  However it will run like chit until you get the AFR re adjusted.  You WILL loose HP by not providing sufficient back pressure.  There is a price floor everything.  In this case loud will cost you a tune and HP.  If you opened up your air cleaner you should have a tune regardless of your pipes.  David
