got almost 20k on original frt tire (dunlop). I usually average 16-20k on frt. usually run 36-34psi. friend switched to michelins & has 16k on rear with 4/32 still. I'm running mich on frt of 08sg & will go mich on rear next go. currently have mich on 2012 cv ultra with 10k & still 8/32 trad left. Also have someone chk front bearings

Ok Jerry and Gary.., Called my brother last night about keeping the tire inflated to what the sidewall stated and of course he laughed.  :'(.  He reminded me that he had told me "to never exceed the cold temp psi rating listed on the sidewall."   :(.  You both are correct!  I will back off 5 lbs on the front.  Thank you!   ;)

You will see an improvement in the ride.  Since you ride solo I think you can back off to 40 psi on the back.  When I ride solo (which isn't often) I run 36 front, 40 rear on both bikes.
