Tour Pack relocation
« on: January 06, 2007, 12:11:14 PM »

I own a 2005 FLHTCUSE which has a detachable tour pack and antenna relocation.  I am looking to purchase a 2007 FLHTCUSE, but it appears to me that the tour pack is not detachable.  One of the problems is the radio amplifier located underneath.  Can it be detached? and how much effort has to go into it? :(

I have a 2007 and have the same question. My local shop says it can be done by moving the amp to the saddle bag,

 Hi bikerdude,
I bet it could be moved to a saddlebag but it would fill it up and make you bike a little unbalanced. It would also make it harder to remove the saddlebag for maintenance. It could be done with a disconnect though.
If you wanted to keep an amp it probably would be best to have one inside the fairing so you don't loose storage space. I would suggest checking out the link Twolanerider provided.
