Just curious, why can't you just swap out the existing amp under the tour pack with a better quality more powerful aftermarket amp?  I know the harness is probably the reason, but don't you think someone would be able to rig some sort of a coverter plug that would allow you to use any amp?  I'm not very knowledgeable at this stuff, but I think in the end, all amps are probably wired similarly by channels?  Just thinking out loud, probably not the first one to ask this question?  I would like to improve the sound quality without having to lose features of the HD communication system which I never use and keep the amp where it is under the tour pack?
