XM Freezing Up
« on: August 31, 2013, 08:59:40 PM »

Last few times I've ridden my '12 cuse7 my XM radio has acted up - pretty frequently today.  What happens is that the audio ceases and the screen freezes.  By that I mean I cannot change XM channels.  I can scroll through the audio inputs and come back to XM and then it works.  Or I can power off the radio and it comes back and works.  In either case it comes back to channel 1.

I checked a couple times and when the XM is silent and frozen the other audio inputs still work, AM, FM, iPod, etc., so it is only XM.  Don't know if it is a problem with XM itself (have had no problems in my cage with XM) or with the radio / xm module in my bike.

I am sending a 'refresh' signal to the XM radio now to see if that helps.

Anyone else ever had this problem?   :nixweiss:

Interesting Jerry  :confused5:  I've had that happen to me twice in the last couple of weeks.  Wasn't sure what was going on but after reading your post I'm starting to believe this is a problem with XM.   :nixweiss:

Makes you wonder doesn't it Judy?  But never happened in my cage. Guess if I call XM they'll just say 'they all do that.'
