I am looking for stereo options for my '09 CVO Road Glide. The J&M Rokker XX system is $2,000 for fairing speakers, grilles with mid & tweeter, saddlebag lid kit with speakers and a 500 watt amp. It rocks and sounds good, but are there other components out there that are comparable that cost less? Anyone here have the new Rokker XX?

Another question. When I was talking to J&M about the install and whether there would be any fitment problems with my GPS, XM and iPod interface already wired into the stereo he said no, but mentioned that the iPod sound quality is less with the interface than when plugged into the AUX port. I just had it installed and haven't picked up my bike yet so I don't know what to expect. I found a 2 year old thread on here talking about it but I'm wondering if that problem has been fixed during the past 2 years? For $400 I will be really angry (to keep this polite and child friendly) if I find this is still true.

Their speaker upgrades are the best I have heard. Never used the amp.

I am very satisfied with the J&M Rokkers / XTs in the fairing / vented lowers, powered with the J&M Rokker 500w amp.

'Have the HK head unit with f/r pre amp outs, rear aux, and switched headphone jack by Iron Cross Audio.

Some of the reasons that I decided to go this route is that this setup is all plug and play, all wiring is included, sounds as good as any other that I have heard, and the customer service of J&M and Iron Cross Audio can't be beat.

"The Ball & Chain" says that she can hear the music crystal clear at 90+ and I don't even turn it all the way up!!

'Thought about the lids, but decided on the lowers instead. The lids look cool but take up room and it is better to have the speakers in front of you if you want sound at speed. I use the '09 SERG for long distance sport touring, if you are mostly local, then the lids are pimp.

Also the vented lowers and the '10 and later brackets were the final piece of the aero management puzzle for me, no buffeting, no ugly windshield, nothing but clean air at any speed ~ with or without a helmet!!

Purchased the J&M stuff from Eastern Performance Cycle, a J&M authorized reseller, great prices, great customer service.
