Shark Evoline 3 STOLEN
« on: September 29, 2013, 03:56:57 AM »

Some asshole clipped off of the '09, "The Ball & Chain's" Shark Evoline 3 Hi-Viz Yellow (looks like it belongs on the power rangers) Size Small, with Cardo Scala Q3 Teamset comm unit, in Hollister, CA yesterday 9/27/13

More good news...

Flo (progressive) told me that they don't think that they will cover it, even though I have $13k of additional accessories coverage!!! WTF...

Damn!

Check your home owners policy, while it's NOT a motorcycle accessory, it is personal property as if it were a Rolex watch, or wedding ring. Was it secured with a helmet lock through the DD rings, or perched on a foot peg?

Tell Flo to check with her superiors.  Back when I had Progressive the policy specifically included riding gear including helmets.

it might depend on the circumstances.  if the helmet was just sitting on the seat (basically unsecure) that might be enough to deny coverage.  if the helmet were somehow secured though, i can't see why they would deny coverage, albeit with deductible.

Flo told me no go!
They only seem to cover those accessories if they are involved in an accident or they on the bike when the whole bike is stolen.
I guess that I  should have read the fine print on that one.
