Do any of you know of any shops that can take factory seat and add a drivers backrest to it or is that even possible?

Stay away from a company called "Grasshopper". They make a backrest that will work with the seat and attaches to the two seat bolts. I have one and it will bend (and stay bent) if you lean back on it. The backrest is designed such that the pad interferes with the BSR legs (An upside down "U"). They agreed to make another backrest pad for me but never shipped and no longer will answer emails. I plan to improve the design myself by integrating the support into the seat "flap" and reinforcing it. I'll have a local redo the backrest pad and it should work.
I need to post to the site about this vender so no one else gets put in my situation. Just have not taken the time.

Ward, the cooling fan guy, has a back rest mount, I do not remember what exactly it fit but you might check with him.

Bitchen Stichen 303.238.5404 also makes one. I just called & left a message about 20 minutes ago looking for info.
