Motorcycle Cop
« on: November 06, 2013, 11:34:28 PM »

My Great Uncle Gene Taylor was a Motorcycle Policeman for the town of Warrensburg, N.Y., My Uncle Joe Taylor said of this photo that he thinks it was taken in 1933 and it was a Indian Motorcycle.
I would like to find out exactly what year the motorcycle is if it is possible from looking at it in this dark black and white photo.
Thanks
Mike

Great historical pic there Mike.  I would send a copy to the Wheels through Time museum in Maggie Valley, NC.  I'm sure they can and will be more than happy to identify the year/model of the Indian....good luck to you.

Neat picture. Can yo do a better scan? One of my local buds is into old bikes. I showed him this but his old eyes asked for a better shot.

Thanks all for your compliments and great ideas!

Jimmy,
Uncle Gene was a dapper well dressed gentleman. He used to bring his car to my Dads house in the fall when I was a teenager and I would put his snow tires on, when I would get the lug nut key out of the glove compartment I would always find a bottle of whiskey....that explained his blood shot glassy eyes!   ;)
