Woods Cams

Anybody here ever used these cams?  The guy at the shop who did my PC tune/dyno run swears by them.

Just throwing it out there for discussion by those more knowledgable on the subject matter than me.  I read on the site that Andrews actually manufactures the cams to Woods specifications.  He's a local guy...

I have not read the threads Roger has included, my comments may already be in them, if not. Here goes.

I have used Bob Wood's cams in the past. Bob is very knowledgeable and approachable, any time you have a question you can phone him and he will thourghly explain whatever it is you need to know.

One thing, Woods Cams have loud valve train noise due to high lift, short duration, they are high HP and Torque output. However, for all day touring I found them to be too loud.

Just my opinion,

GEEZER I have to agree. They work very well but make some valve train noise. I have a couple of sets laying around the shop that I install in the ligther bikes. They love them so I keep using them. A lot of lift and short duration makes for some great low end TQ!!!!!
