Progressive 31-2500 or 31-2501?
« on: November 09, 2013, 08:49:08 PM »

I have a 2012 Roadglide custom and I'm looking at installing the progressive monotubes.

Depending what web site you look at they come up as not fitting my bike.  I want to lower the front, will the 31=2501 fit this year and model?

Thanks for the input.

Check this page at Progressive Suspension (the source of Progressive monotubes): http://www.progressivesuspension.com/prodSearchResults.aspx?yearID=2012&makeID=37&modelID=1014

According to them, everything on this page fits the RG:
Quote
All FLH/FLT (except Tri-Glide)

Both the -2500 (keeps stock height)and -2501 (lowers it 1 to 2 inches) will fit (I've used both)...but the more you lower it, the harsher and stiffer the ride is.  You also lose ground clearance in turns and over speed bumps, and the bike won't lean over as far when on the kick stand.

I used the Progressive kit to lower the front of my SESG 1" and it rides fine......Pretty easy to install if you work on your own bike.
