TTS is easiest for me mainly because I have studied it more than any of the others. Aside from that, it is also much more comprehensive IMO and when tuned on a dyno will give the best overall tune. All of them will give a tune that you can run on without fear of any engine damage, heat issues etc but if you want the best in all aspects I would trust the Mastertune system.

Trying not to highjack but I have a 09 with a 124 that has a PC 5 with a procharger and 12 lbs of boost. Just put a new engine in it similar to the old one. Should I stay with the PC 5 or go another route? Will the power commander 5 adjust itself to the differences in the new engine (new cam& higher compression)

Keep the PC5 AND get a TTS.  Here's why... with that boosted bike, you can massage things good with the PC5, and you can massage things like starting, warm up, decel better with the TTS.

Of course you need a decent tuner to pull both together.  If money is tight, I can't help but think the PC5 is the way to go.

Ok, great info. Might switch to the TTS. Now I would like to know what the difference is between the TTS and the DYNOJET POWER VISION?  The Vision has that nice info display and can switch between maps on the fly. Like a performance map and a fuel saving map.  Which one is a better unit?

Coke or Pepsi?

I have both the old-style TTS and a PV.  My FXSTB was tuned using the TTS.  I self-tuned my FLHTK with a TTS.  I'm tuning with a PV on my FLHTCUSE7.  They're both very good, very powerful tuners.  For self-tuning, I think you're better off with the PV.  The display makes it so much easier to quickly fill in all your cells when you're doing a tuning run.  The interface is ridiculously simple, and you don't have to get off and on the bike every time you do a run.

While I like the MasterTune software a bit more than WinPV, it's nice to only have one program you need to use (rather than MasterTune, DataMaster, and V-Tune).

And then you've got the additional benefit of the gauge display on the PV if you're so inclined.

They're priced within a few dollars of one another, but the PV comes with cables, bar mount, and the display.

You won't go wrong with either one, it just comes down to what you're more comfortable with.

While I am biased one needs to look at what you can and cannot do with each one. Mastertune has many more things to allow you to fine tune the system. There is NO switch on the fly with either system, you must shut the bike off to install a different tune. Just the same there is NO auto tune either. Truth be told if you think you need a different tune to have performance and fuel economy then one needs to go back and learn how to tune. The best use of the fuel will make peak power and peak fuel economy all in one just fine. Fuel economy is done by normal riding, peak power is a WOT thing which is very rarely used during normal riding. While many want to believe they have to be separate items they are not, it's just up to the person doing the tuning.

For a boosted motor its a good idea to have the PCV for being able to change fuel acording to boost reference.  None of the flash tunes are publicly allowing tuning with 2 or 3 bar map sensor.  Use a flash tuner TTS and PV would be great choices and get the idle through 100kpa area handled and then use the PCV with a 2 bar map sensor for the boosted portions.  This is what a lot of people do for boosted motors.

I've used both the TTS and the PV and both are very good products.  IMO the PV is a little easier to use.

Talk with Jody @ Tilley HD in Salisbury 704-638-6044. He is in service and would be the guy doing the tuning if he can handle it.
