Remember.....Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a motorcycle.

CigarMikey,

From a perspective of getting the most out of your motor .... If your bouncing off the revlimiter you are just feeding that Anger and you ask why I just know you are its because you just got beat, because your bouncing the Revlimiter.   In the majority of cases probably over 90 percent these days that the bikes Harley's not The metric rockets in the garage rarely are making power beyond 5400 rpm I am not saying their not out there, but their far from the norm.   That being said I would raise your rev limiter ont he bike to 6200 for the ohh chit I just flat out forgot to look, and plan on shifting your bike at about 5300 rpm.    Not only will this help your bike, ease the anger and may also put a smile on your face as you will be going faster than if you had hit the rev limiter.    You may also find that short shifting at 5k makes you go even faster, but you would need a dyno sheet to really validate that on a 103 engine.

This is based off most twin cam Engines are on the downside of making torque at 5200 rpm's check the dyno sheets in the forum and few are still making positive torque beyond that.

Hope this helps and gives you a reason to look towards shifting earlier to avoid adding to the Anger :)
