CVO PUSH ROD NOISING
« on: December 18, 2013, 03:10:00 PM »

Please help me gentlemen.

I have 2012 CVO Street Glide at 27.000 km.
Between 2700 and 3200 rpm push rods starts noising a lot.
I want to know why and what I have to do?

It is most likely not the push rod, but your lifters. A lot of folks on this site have problems with the stock lifters. Your millage is such that it is time to inspect the cam chest and replace the lifters any ways. Do this now before you have total lifter failure and do more damage to the engine. Change the lifters to S&S Premium lifters, Measure your crank run out, and think about a S&S cams while you are in there. Good luck.

After insuring all is well in the cam chest area, install a set of S&S adjustable pushrods, and S&S lifters.

Don't put it off too long.....even it they hush up some. A failed lifter can put metal all through out the motor and cause a complete re-build. <$500 now......>$5000 later.  :nervous:
