Power Locks
« on: January 04, 2014, 11:10:44 PM »

I'm looking to find out if the power locks (Tour-pak & Saddlebags, ignition would be nice but not nessessary), from the 2014 CVO will fit a 2014 Ultra Limited?
I met a fellow at the dealer where I bought my bike and he used to be the dealers shop Forman and now is an instructor at MMI, and we were talking and he thought that h/d made an overlay harness to allow the power locks to be put on the Limited, but couldent find it in the catologue, but told me if they dident, that someone very familiar with the bikes wiring harness could probelly find the correct wires to connect to, add a switch on the dashboard, program the keyfobs and install the actuators and I could have my cake and eat it.

I would appreciate if anyone who had tried or done this or knows how to do this please post to the thread.
Thanks,
Lance

Lance, There is a lot of pre wiring on these bikes according to the HD web site.  Check into it with you shop.

I did while I was in the middle of my purchase negoation, the parts guy seemed a little clueless or he couldent be bothered, also if possiable I'd love to use the power lock modules from my 2010 CVO (I'll keep take them off the bike before the salvage truck comes to pick it up, to save money they have the wiring and quick disconnects for the removal of the saddlebags, all I think I need is a switch with a keyfob witless trigger and receiver that would then send a power signal to the actuators to lock or unlock.
In theory it should be doable identity if I have to install it SS a seporate add on feature that works independent of the bike.  Hmmm... Many I hit on something, if any one has the parts catologue and could send pictures of the modules, wires, connectors, receiver unit, switch and any other parts wiring harness etc and part numbers, I woul greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Lance
