Sadly going to the shop today for spring tune up and rocker gasket replacement.

Anyone have any idea on how much the gasket replacement should cost?  Don't want to get hosed.  Doesn't seem like a lot of work, but ......

It's really easy, probably 2 hrs shop time or just do it yourself. Getting the tank off and on is the most of the time involved.

Wouldn't the whole cart-and-horse thing have meant questioning the shop about their charges before the work is done to avoid said hosing?

Riders call them "stealers" for a reason! Find an independent with a good reputation.
