HogTunes in Lowers
« on: January 13, 2014, 10:04:16 AM »

Well I have read so many post about installing speakers in the lowers.  Some say they are great and others say doesn't do much.  Well I ordered the new HogTunes FL7 REV kit for the lowers.  140W of power going to (2) 7" speakers.  Installed it today and all I can say is WOW.  It doesn't matter if the bike is sitting still or running 70 MPH down the highway.  The sound is incredible. If you every wandered if this kit was worth the money,  I am here to tell you that this system really has a punch to it.  I am sure their are other systems out there that sound Great,  but I can tell you first hand that the HogTunes FL7 Rev kit for the lowers is worth every penny.  Installation is not hard,  instruction manual guides you through the installation without any head scratching.  Took me about 3 hours to install the kit.  The sound is amazing on the highway,  you are surrounded by music,  Even at 70 mph,  I turn the volume up to about 4 bars, and that is LOUD.  It really is a Great Kit.

I see prices all over the board when I google this. Are these subs only or a full range speaker? Do you have a link to the kit you bought?

I looked around and found these speakers at Eastern Performance at a much lower price.  HogTunes will honor whatever price you find.  You just have to give them the name of the company and price.  They will verify it and match it.  Great people to work with.  The link to HogTunes is :  http://www.hogtunes.com/products/products/fltru/cvo.html

The speakers are really an all around speaker,  seems that I can hear the lower speakers more than I can here the fairing speakers.  They are awesome.  You will love the sound.

That's the kit I looked at. The one for the RG is another $40 due to a mounting bracket needed for the amp. Their site says the speaker is a mid/low range as it doesn't have a tweeter in it. We all know how the low end of music gets lost on a bike once you're over about 20 mph so that makes sense for it to be that way.

You bought yours from HT after they verified the price match through Eastern?

Yep I sure did.  And as for as the low mid range.  I can honestly say that these speakers are loud.  Heck I can't hardly hear the fairing speakers or the HogPod that I have on it,  of course the HogPod is a tweeter,  but these lower speakers definitely are louder than the Hogtunes that I have in the fairing.

Yep they told me that wherever I found these speakers that they would match the price.
