Well I gave it some thought and went for it. Don't plan on removing the tp. Already found that when I ride it's nice to have a place to lock my helmet when I stop.

I just bought the 2014 Ultra CVO this fall, I ride mostly alone but doing more touring, it made sense to move away from the Fatboy and into a touring bike. I was not sure at the time myself but made the leap……and am very glad I did it. Tour pack is great, even around town. It holds two boxes of beer without issue (as an example). Definatly a different ride, the extra weight and seating position take some getting used to at slow speeds, but the bike is quite nimble and handles great at speed.
