If you say so...  It wasn't my experience.

I tried a 3M industrial wire pulling lubricant, wax based, a few years ago.  It worked well, but I subsequently found it had retained dirt and grit.  But maybe there's another brand or type of wire lubricant that works better than my experience...   :nixweiss:

That sucks... It is called Clear Guide by Ideal. Pulled the wires back out a year later and they looked brand new  :2vrolijk_21:

a little KY sounds good to me.... ;D ;D ;D
It works!! Went and picked some up and lubed up the wires. Used weed eater cutting string to pull em through, easier than I thought :2vrolijk_21:

If I use dish soap, would you recommend coating the wires and trying to get some into the bars or is just coating the wire enough?

Coating the wires is really good enough. Push as much as you pull. The push really makes a difference, and pull all wires at once!!

Is this a one person project or is it project that goes a lot better with a set of helping hands? I can get help, but if its just as easy for one guy, I won't subject anybody else to this much fun.

First attempt at pulling wires...fail.... to much soap, the adhesive on the black tape seems to be degrading as we are pulling the wires causing everything to become disconnected half way through the pull/push. I think we may try baby powder tomorrow during round two. This job isn't all that much fun but having my Dad help has been Great. So stay tuned, tomorrow should yield success

Lay out a dark towel on the table. Dump some powder in the palm of your hand and coat the wires. Using a spoon or a straw, dump some powder into the bars. Fish your lead wire through and gently work them through.
