True duels on a CVO limited?
« on: April 01, 2014, 12:19:43 AM »

I have a 2014 CVO limited arriving soon and I'm looking for feedback on exhaust systems. Has anyone fitted true duels to their bike? My main motivation is to reduce heat to my passenger. I'm not sure if fitting true duels will just shift the heat to the left side.

retuning it and removing the cat from the head pipe will reduce the heat [mod ex head pipe, replace head pipe, etc etc] - also will void your engine warranty

no free lunch.....

I have installed several sets of true duels along with tunes. It will help with heat.  A cam will help also.  If I was going to recommend a header pipe and you want pipes on both sides. I would recommend a X pipe.   Same benefits of cooling and better performance.

The GMR 577 cams and the TTS tuner that hrdtail78 installed on mine really cooled it down. I have true duals and I can tell you that a 2-1-2 will perform better.

I was thinking about getting rid of my bike because of the heat but I'm a changed man now.

Thanks for the advice and feedback. Sounds like I need cams.

X2 on the X pipe. I had true duals and replaced the header pipes with the Fullsac X pipe. Big difference especially above 3500rpm. Mine is a 103. Here's proof.
