I too experience the "I can't see where I'm going in the curve problem."  I too love the bright white light in the straights, but it's downright scary to lean and look through a turn into darkness.  I have not adjusted them as I assumed a new bike would come from the factory adjusted, so I'll have to look into how to do this.  I have read where an ECM flash on the '14 will allow the fog lights to stay on with the high beam and that has helped others.  If I can't get it fixed, I'll definitely be going back to old school lights.

I bought some real bright lights to add on to my K1600. I believe the company name is clearwater and the light was named Erica's.

http://www.clearwaterlights.com/products2_pp.html

These lights are bright and maybe the best lights I ever seen. (Pricy to but worth it)

I am trying to figure out if I can install a set on the HD without completely ruining the look of the MC.

Funny, I had the TL Phase 5 & passing lamps on my FLHTK and loved them.  Got the Phase 7s on the CVO and hated them.  Thought they were invisible during the daytime, and marginal at best at night.  Running the DayMakers now and couldn't be happier.

Anyone looking for a pair of the LED passing lamps, I sold my SE Ultra and don't need them on my new S. Glide Special.   See my add in the For Sale section. :cherry:

With counter steering, wouldnt lights that turn in the curves be worse?

I suppose that is a joke...the amount of countersteer needed over 25mph is so small you never even see it with the headlights.

I have the Trucklite and I love it.  :2vrolijk_21:  Ditches and signs I never saw before are now lit up.   ;D

Have to agree with Judy and the others on the truck lite (Phase 7).  Don't have the passing lamps installed on Ginger but with the Phase 7, don't really need it.  Good light going down the road and in the twisties.  You do have to play with the adjustment compared to halogen bulbs/lights but well worth the money.  Also did the Custom Dynamics rings which help being seen if not much in seeing.

I'm with the OP, the LED's to me cut off in the corners. I added Headwinds auxiliary LED lights to help. Rolling down the highway the factory HID's work great.... not so much in the corners... the light is very linear.. doesn't flood the road.

Headlights low beam

Headlights low beam with driving lights aimed to illuminate more of the shoulders of the road.

Just fitted the truck lite phase 7 passing lamps but will about 4 months before I can comment on them  :( but have the phase 6 on my fat boy, and love it.

I feel the same way. Out on the freeway the lights rock. But out on the back roads they are flat scary!! My passing light have leaked from the beginning. they have replaced them three times and they still fill up with moisture. A lot of money for lights that have all those issues. After almost three years i'm just learning to live with them.

Rocking the phase 7. $165 to my door. One of the best mods I've done!

After a little road trip a couple of weeks ago with quite a bit of night riding on back roads, I immediately came home and began looking for a lighting upgrade over stock.  Quick shipping and good advice from Tim at SoCalMotoGear brought me their new Dual bulb HID/LED Conversion kit and LED passing light bulbs.  Very nice upgrade for $230.  The HID low beam is a huge improvement over stock and with the LED hi-beam bulb, my garage door opener still works.  Also installed the aux light independent control wire from HD allowing hi-beam aux light operation.  I can recommend this set up.
