Performance Mods completed 2009 FLTRSE3
« on: April 01, 2014, 03:05:18 PM »

I had some work done on my bike and am very pleased with the results.
I went with the SE 259E cams, 10.5/1 pistons, head work/valve job, beehive valve springs, roller tappets, bored .010 over, and SE clutch springs.

What pipe, what headwork? I really preferred the 259s over the 255s!

Exhaust is stock cat-free head pipe into Rinehart 4" with performance baffles. Heads were just cleaned up and valves/seats polished.

The 259 with it's 47 closing isn't a bottom hitting cam.  You aren't really seeing a dip, more than a cam that starts a little later.

Nice sheet.

Care to explain in greater detail on why that cam is not really a late closing cam ?. What are your thoughts on the subject .  :2vrolijk_21:

this to me is like saying its normal for a 52 IVC not to hit till 3500 rpm.

im simply saying that even a late closing can hit early with the right combo. Do you not agree?

I didn't say that. I have 51 closing cam that is well over 110 tq at 2500.

All pretty relative to other things.
