Oh my!!!
« on: April 17, 2014, 02:13:14 AM »

I just finished putting Fullsac DX pipes and Fullsac 2.0 Power Cores in my mufflers.  :carrot:  With only 625 miles on the bike the warranty gods are frowning but I don't care.

The bike sounds great.  Before Fullsac the sound sucked.  It was like a cross between a Gold Wing and a lawn mower.  Totally not Harley.  Now the sound is Harley all the way.  A deep rumble when idling followed by an authoritative "crack" when punched.  The overall sound says "stay back, way back".

And, big bonus, the heat is reduced and the bike goes like a striped-ass baboon.

I am beyond happy.

You mean there is a difference between a GW and a lawn mower? Just kidding, of course! ;)

Changing out the pipes is the first mod on my bike (because it used to sound like a GW/LM). I had the dealer do it during the 1000 mile service so it did not effect the warranty. That is a beautiful bike you have there, BTW, and now it has the sound to go with the looks.

I just get my bike back tomorrow from getting exhaust and can't wait. Keep saying it sounded like a weedwhacker.

Dicko - can't go wrong with Fullsac!  :2vrolijk_21:

You didn't mention retuning. Did you get the TTS from Fullsac with Steve's cal? If you didn't, you need to. Stock cal is way too lean for Fullsacs, or any less restrictive pipes. Stock cal is too lean, period!

Hi Ken,
Yes, I did load the Fullsac fuel map as part of the installation of the pipes and muffler cores.  My TTS wouldn't work as it was married to my old bike so I had to send it back to Mastertune to be upgraded to a dual unit.  That cost me $200!  Everything is fine now and I'm a happy camper.
I recently discovered the existence of TTS's Flight Recorder software and am anxious to try it out.  It is a really good idea and saves one from riding around with a laptop strapped to the bike.
