I'd suggest using the SE tapered pushrods...everything you need comes with them, covers, o'rings and all.

http://www.harley-davidson.com/store/screamin-eagle-premium-tapered-quick-install-adjustable-pushrods-18404-08

I agree, I scrimped and save $30 and got the S&S adjustables (not the quickies which are the same prices as the SE Tapered).  Wish I had gon with the SE Tapered as I now have a pushrod hitting the top of the S&S pushrod tube.  Measured it ant it is smaller than the SE.  So had to buy SE anyway.

Anyone want my S&S used set of tubes, and pushrods, cheap?  S&S would not warranty then nor would Eastern Performance.

Well I just got my scooter back! :huepfenjump3: Caught it just in time! Had one lifter that started to leak down and clatter just when I cranked it up to drive it the 2 miles to the shop. It was the exhaust lifter on front cylinder. Rollers all looked good and cams did too! Went with the S&S HD lifters and what a difference so far (noise wise). Covered under extended warranty so it was $50 plus the cost of lifters! I'm a happy camper for now. Thanks for all your help and PM's! Love y'all, God Bless! :2vrolijk_21:

Service writer at my dealer mentioned that HD recommends inspection of the lifters in the 110 at 8k mile intervals.  After mine failed in April of '13 I decided to check mine each winter for piece of mind.
I can't find anything "official" regarding a lifter inspection interval....but service writer seemed genuine when we were talking about it.

Anybody else hear anything about a "recommend" inspection on these??

I will continue to inspect mine each winter regardless,  I'm just curious if anyone heard of this.

Yup, that's another story - and lots of labor for an owner to absorb if they don't do their own work.
I'm just wondering if it was idle talk or if some kind of bulletin went out to the dealers.

Idle talk would be closer to reality. And from an employee that doesn't want to hank on to his job too long. They need to give that boy some more training.

Only trouble is -- I agree with the theory that the lifters should be inspected regularly.....
