Removing antennae from Tour Pak
« on: May 21, 2014, 11:50:35 PM »

I took the two antennae off of the back of the Tour Pak, and realized the mounting bolts longer than I expected.  I ended up putting the antennae back on because the mounting bolts stuck out like a red headed step child.

What have people used to cover the antenna mounting bolts on the Tour Pak after removing the antennae?

Thanks for any help.

I'm going to leave the studs off when I install my light bar.

The antenna mounting studs are removeable.  Go inside the T-P, pull the inner liner away far enough to expose the antenna cable connections at the antenna mounts, remove the nuts holding the cable and then remove the studs those nuts screw onto with an allen wrench.  When you remove that stud, the antenna mount slides out the top.  See the attached drawing (click on it for full size).

Thanks for the replies.  If I end up taking out the studs, I'm sure I could find rubber or chrome caps for the holes.

Nice pointy nuts, 05Train.  BTW, I think I know a surgeon who can help you with those.  ::)
