2011 SESG- no sound
« on: June 01, 2014, 11:37:17 AM »

I am having a problem with my HK sound system on my 2011 SESG. Everything in the display appears to be functioning correct but I have no sound coming Through the speakers. I have checked the fuses and they are good. Is there a way to test the amp to see if it blown? Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what was the fix?

These have been an issue on here for sometime. MANO from this site is the leader on this issue for sure.

I had my amp replaced in 2011 and it's not been a problem since. The is a revised amp. Does yours have the updated amp?

Just happened to me yesterday too, luckily it stopped working in the last 15 miles of a 1,000 mile weekend.  Stopped for lunch at the end of the ride and it started working again for 2 more miles before stopping again.  I'm guessing my issue is temperature related in either the head unit or amp for me.  If it's the head unit Iron Cross can fix them for ~$250.
