#70900038 HD gear indicator keeps messing up from time to time,    it can work for a period then dont for a long time and displays 8N
in 2,3,4,5 gear , 1st always work.....

This is connected to the data contact  have look'd over all wires there are no place there is bad connection.

- speedo is working
- bike displays N when bike is in neutral
- tach is working

what can cause this are there other sensors this collect info from?
When i installed the gear indicator for the first time it worked perfect.

since the indicator is displaying 1st gear as it should i cant belive that the indicator is faulty.

dont know where to look

Solution:
Solved the problem , bought a new indicator from HD, works like a sharm.     Happy camper.
