Great post Red. Music to my ears man. Seems that HD's deceiving us again. Gotta buy the bike for MSRP or above and then put another $2-3K into it before you even pick it up. That's OK though. I'm glad to hear you're real happy with it from the day you got. Not a lot of people can say that. I hope I'm one of them too. [highlight]Sounds like you got a Wednesday bike. What exhaust did you use?[/highlight] Thanks for the info. Hoist!
As a matter of fact, my bike was born on Nov 1, which was a Wednesday.  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif].  I went with the Vance and Hines true duals and their oval mufflers.  They have a great sound and when riding through neighborhoods they can be relatively quiet, but will definitely bark if you want them to. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] I was debating between the Rineharts and V&H and my dealer had two bikes with each on them, so I got to listen to a side by side comparrison and the V&H, to my ears, sounded a little nicer, and the dealer told me that each dyno out about the same.  (I don't know if that's true.  [smiley=nixweiss.gif])  My dealer stated that there's no problem putting pipes, mufflers, AC and SERT on right away.  They put in the 84 basemap on the SERT and will dyno it at the 1K service.  Right now I'm averaging about 40 mpg with this setup.

Candy,

You may not recall but I posted about three weeks ago that my 07 SEUC had a bad engine and it is still down awaiting a new engine. This was noted at my 1000 mile services.

I am so sorry to hear about the failure of your engine.  I just happened to see this red jester in the service area when picking my bike up and asked about it.  They probably should not have told me as much as they did, but they like me and I asked.  I guess, I have no idea how many days it tooked for them to make the determination that the engine was bad and get one in, they just told me it was five days from determination till they had the bike ready for cusomer to pick up.  You've been without yours for three weeks? It is kinda like we should get paid for down time that had nothing to do with us.......... extend the warranty that many days or something.  When I first got my bike, I got tangled up with a very bad service department.  They were brand new and knew nothing of our kind of bikes and they damaged my bike and did a lot of realy dumb things to it. It meant I was without my bike somehting like 92 days.  I finally had to cut my losses and RUN from that shop, but not having my brand new bike in my garage was very emotionally painful.  I really feel for you.  I hope your replacement engine is in soon and your bike is carrying you and your wife around Hawaii with the pleasue you should be experiencing with such a fantastic motorcycle.   [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=orange.gif] [smiley=pineapple.gif] [smiley=cucumber.gif] [smiley=apple.gif] ;)
