Great post Red. Music to my ears man. Seems that HD's deceiving us again. Gotta buy the bike for MSRP or above and then put another $2-3K into it before you even pick it up. That's OK though. I'm glad to hear you're real happy with it from the day you got. Not a lot of people can say that. I hope I'm one of them too. [highlight]Sounds like you got a Wednesday bike. What exhaust did you use?[/highlight] Thanks for the info. Hoist!
As a matter of fact, my bike was born on Nov 1, which was a Wednesday. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]. I went with the Vance and Hines true duals and their oval mufflers. They have a great sound and when riding through neighborhoods they can be relatively quiet, but will definitely bark if you want them to. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] I was debating between the Rineharts and V&H and my dealer had two bikes with each on them, so I got to listen to a side by side comparrison and the V&H, to my ears, sounded a little nicer, and the dealer told me that each dyno out about the same. (I don't know if that's true. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]) My dealer stated that there's no problem putting pipes, mufflers, AC and SERT on right away. They put in the 84 basemap on the SERT and will dyno it at the 1K service. Right now I'm averaging about 40 mpg with this setup.
