The Mech was surprise that my failure was on an intake valve and not the exhaust. Type in Harley 110 leaky valve guides into your browser. Lots to read. Hey Terry will you still ride with me if I ride a Victory? Can I still be on the CVO forum if I'm a former CVO owner ?

It was my rear cyl exhaust valve that was stuck open several years back on my 110 reworked heads by Dan Baisley. In the early 110 days everyone tried treating them the same as all others in the old ways to make more power and quickly found out that these 110's have to be dealt with a little differently than their predecessors. But I could be wrong.

My 110 heads were done by Dan Baisley also and I had a stuck rear exhaust valve.  Broke the rocker support plate as a result.  Upon inspection all valve stem seals had come up off the valve guides.  Complete tear down of engine to get out the aluminum particles from the support plate.  Lots to tell about this valve stem seal issue.

My lifter issue was on the front cylinder intake valve.  No sticking exhaust truly a defective part that gave up the ghost at 18 k miles.

Based on HD's track record with 110 lifters I think I would opt for aftermarket lol  :-\

I have the SE lifters in my 11.5 and so far they are holding up better than the originals.  I inspected them after about 8k miles of use and they still looked like new.  The original ones failed after 7400 miles......
