Which Cams For 2014 110"
« on: July 29, 2014, 08:47:23 PM »

Going with a D&D 2-1 with wrapped baffle.  Power Vision tuner.  Heavy Breather intake. SE Push rods, Timkin bearings. Aftermarket lifters.  Which cam?

My 3 favorites were the Woods 222, 555, and the 777.  I went with the 222's because the were a great low end TQ set.  Check out fuelmotousa.com   They have several dyno charts posted so you can get an idea of their curves and rpm ranges.  There is also a couple forum members on here that work/own speed shops.  I'm sure they will be along shortly to give you some solid builder/tuner experience.

I am a fan of the Kury TC-24, I have them in both my 103 and 110.

My 110 has the Dragos H pipe, Heavy Breather, woods lifters and tune. I will post the dyno chart for you

the comparative curve is with the Jackpot 2-1-2 and CVO 255's

With a 2-1 pipe you would pick up some HP over the H pipe on the big end

I am thinking one of the T-Man cams. I am sure a phone call to Bob will help you make your decision.

If you want a loud valve train go with a Woods cams. I've tried 222,555 and 777's and the power is nice. There's better.

Dragos 580 is very nice it's a lot like the kury 24. Torque everywhere with a quiet valve train.

Andrew's 54,57
Tman 555c is nice

That tman 577 is a hit!
Add compression and mild headwork plus dump the factory springs for lower pressure beehives and now with a tb change you are in the mid 120s hp and tq.
Bob has done them with my heads

First of all what you want your bike(engine)? Low mid range TQ > easy and very good to ride. Or did you want maximum HP > typically low TQ in low rpm. This type of basic engine you dot get both of them: good low rpm TQ and maximum HP in same cam choice.

When you know what you really want then there is lot of good choices.
