heres a question for harley

funny never thought about this until a friend brought it up the other day.  why is the check engine light on the speedo  look like a car engine and not a vtwin?

Probably because it's a standardized item and each manufacturer doesn't alter it to suit themselves.  You also don't see a pictograph of a flat six on a Porsche car or Honda motorcycle.  Some of this stuff is standardized and codified in government regulations, and individual companies aren't allowed to just go their own way.

So the V Twin light can be an one of the improvements on the 2016 models.
