New Garmin map update

I see that 2015.20 is now available.  Anyone install it yet?  After the problems installing 2015.10 I'm not jumping on this one until I hear that it is A-OK.   :2vrolijk_21:

I'm heading out in two days - this Saturday.  So I will not be installing before then for sure.  Last update I installed the day before a road trip - well tried to install is a better description.  Last several updates had gone as smooth as silk and I trustingly told it to update.  Then error and all my maps were gone on my unit and it was Saturday and Garmin was closed!  So had to borrow a gps from a friend - thank goodness for good friends.  Upon my return I learned from Garmin that the problem was that I had my micro SD card in the unit when doing the update and that caused the error.  WTF?  The card had been in there on all the previous updated with no problem.  Take away from that experience - do NOT trust Garmin.  You'll have a problem when you least expect it!

Never ever in a million years should you risk updating a Garmin right before a trip. Stick with the last stable, and only update in between trips. I learned that lesson the hard way.

I'm going on a trip tomorrow. I took the risk and installed 2015.20 on my zumo 665 and mapsource on the computer using Garmin Express. It was the smoothest install ever. I had a lot of problems with 2015.10 but none today. I even left my 16 GB SD micro card in the unit during install.

No issues with my install.

Sent from my iPad, probably while I'm pooping.

The reports of clean easy install is great.  But I'm not doing it until after this road trip.

I installed it the day it came out, I always do, NEVER had a problem. Been using Garmin stuff daily in job since May 05 and have never had all these problems everyone else seems to experience. Curently have 4 units inc the 660 on the bike and they all work great. This update installed just like all the others have over the years and has no hiccups whatsoever.
