Wild 1 577's on a 2013 CVO Ultra
« on: July 05, 2014, 07:04:39 PM »

To the folks that have put the W. O. 577's on your CVO Ultra, what did you do with the GPS mount on the dash? Did you leave it and do a handlebar mount? Just curious what others have done. Thanks

578s on mine. Left it alone. No problem.

Thanks, Dan. That is what I was thinking, just not sure if the bars would hit the GPS mount.

I have the 577s but no nav.  I think you can lean back the bars and it should be ok. But if you push them forward all the way,,, forget it. Be right in the way. I pulled mine back . I think it would be ok.   ::)

I had the 577's installed on my '13 CVO ultra just after the 1,000 mile service.
Shortly before picking the bike up the dealer called me in for the handlebar adjustment and to make sure they would clear the dash mounted GPS.
I took the GPS with me and we adjusted the bars and there's about an inch or so of clearance between the bars and the GPS.

The only issue I have with the bars is that the chrome is so shiny that the reflection onto the GPS screen can be annoying in direct sunlight but a small piece of masking tape on the inside of the bars works fine.

Thanks for the reply's. I have not done anything yet, too many other projects in the way. Will be a winter project.
